The first month of the year is the third edition of AppEvent it. We had previously announced that we would do everything to make this edition more successful than ever before and we have been brilliantly successful. First there are the visitors to our websites at the Dutch site, we received no less than 50,000 unique visitors, accounting for 185,000 visits and almost 600,000 page views. A big difference from the previous edition in August when the website was visited 160,000 times and 325,000 pages were viewed.
Looking at the statistics of the apps we see something we do very much by surprise: two apps, Push Panic and Photo Factory, throwing respectively 158,838 and 140,194 downloads excellent chance! This would initially still be explained as coincidence, but the numerous articles on the world’s largest iPhone and iPad sites Show clear that this little luck involved. Push Panic and Photo Factory are simply few good apps received by our action and the attention they deserve!
Were all estimated to have about 800,000 downloads of apps. The top 10 (which can be seen right) is alone accounted for more than half million downloads. Besides Push Panic and Photo Factory receive the remaining apps in the top 10 is all praise. The first edition of this app, Touch Rummy HD with 27,693 downloads was quite good as well as iPad app. Besides the big two we this app definitely be considered the surprise of the third edition. But certainly we forget some names. Lighty example, the app or unannounced warm-up was free on December 31 last year. We are proud to announce that app still among the best in the Top 50 Paid hanging around and so launched our promotion.
These great leaps forward, we probably due to several factors. First, greater choice to our apps. For an entire month and 2 days (remember us unannounced warm-up) we the best apps in the Benelux to our visitors and loyal followers present. There were also many competitions that we in honor of this celebratory event organized. Obviously we want them again iJoysoft (iPod Transfer Ultimate) Mobile Vikings ( for 5 recharges) Edo van der Goot (for the book Mijn Plek Utrecht) and AppStores BV (for NAVV Benelux) thanks. Also thanks to all developers who are engaged for one day for their app available free and websites who have written about us!
Finally, we wish to thank a few people in particular: house designer Tim Poot to create the headers (and above) for this site and Jeroen Wunnink WM Innovations for providing the hosting. We would give him a compliment to the server as quickly solve problems that occurred on January 1.
Our future plans
Because it would be a shame had a project like AppEvent lost, we set forth the action with pleasure. Within a still undetermined number of months we hope you re the best apps to dish. But that is certainly not all we have sufficient internal AppEvent plans to expand into a more successful project that a larger group of Apple users will attract.
Also a AppEvent application is high on our wish list, but there is a coincidence until today, unfortunately not yet. Yet it seems an app that our followers daily to keep it informed of free application from the day certainly not a luxury, so we will do everything to that idea this year really has begun.
